Captain Matthew Champion has been fishing in Destin since 1987 and has enjoyed a long and successful career on his way to founding Championship Offshore Outfitting and Charters. His ambition on every trip is to give you something truly special. Captain Matthew and his experienced crew are here to walk you through every step of the trip. Captain Matthew Champion
Captain Matthew received his 100 ton USCG Captains license and started his commercial fishing adventure at the age of 21.
2001
Captain Matthew operated a 65′ party boat our of Destin, Florida for a little over a year before deciding to change course and join the commercial fishing industry where he remained for about 10 years.
2011
Captain Matthew was offered the opportunity to captain a private sport-fishing operation where he excelled in the art of catching billfish and deeper water bottom fish.
2017
Captain Matthew took the helm of the Little Baby Sea Pig – Championship Offshore specializing in offshore and deep sea fishing for both bottom fish and pelagic species.

Captain Christian is your co-captain for overnight trips. Bill fishing and pelagic fishing is her passion.

- Originally from Baton Rouge LA and moved to the Destin area in 1989

Captain Matthew was awarded Captain of the Year in the Destin Fishing Rodeo. Over the years he has placed and won several tournaments, including (5) 1st place finishes and (1) 2nd place finish.
